Statche-Tastic

Good morning!  I'm back with another card for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge.  We are revisiting a previous sketch and our sponsor is CC Designs.

When I saw this stamp, I knew I had to have it...I have a fascination with all of the fun mustache themed items out there!  I had to have the coordinating die set and yet another stamp set too (the sentiment)...such fun goodies over at CC Designs!

The image is colored with pencils and her eyes are accented with a black gel pen.  The mustache is die cut from felt...it has great dimension in real life.  I had some fun mustache papers in my stash (no pun intended!) which I distressed.  I've added a sentiment banner and a handmade felt flower for embellishing.

CAS Baby

Good morning!  We have a new challenge, for this fortnight, from the Creative Card Crew.  We would like to see lots of pink or blue, or a baby card...yay, I love both!

This card started out pink, but I ended up switching to a white card base...I think I like it better.  The onesie is paper pieced, the trim colored with a pencil, and accented with glitter.  I've done very minimal embellishing...a simple button with a Swarovski flatback (it's a bit hard to see...it's pink) on top.

Image/Sentiment: PTI Bitty Baby Blessings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Black Marker
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Dark Chocolate, Doodlebug DP

Christmas Recipe

I'm back with my final Bugaboo Christmas in July challenge card...woo hoo, I was able to get them all done!  It was indeed a challenge, but a fun one!

This last challenge was a recipe:

1. Tied Up With a Bow: use a ribbon bow
2. Keepin' Warm: include at lease 3 layers
3. Let It Sparkle: use glitter or bling
4. A Little Eggnog: use the color cream

1, 2, 3, 4: check, check, check, check!

Scarlett is colored with pencils and I've accented the fur on her dress with glitter.  The papers are distressed and I've added some coordinating banners, adorned with a chocolate ribbon.  The final touch was a smattering of Swarovski AB crystals...I like the way they pick up the pink and blue in the DP.

Another Bugaboo challenge card....  This one is for Wednesday's "Make Us Laugh" challenge; I had to go with Stella...the girl is a hoot!  And a hot tamale....

"Christmas shopping ain't for SISSIES!"  (Especially on Black Friday!)  Can you tell by her expression that Stella means business?  The image is colored with pencils and Stella's hat is accented with glitter.  I used the Digi Sketch Challenge layout...it's a fun one!  The card is embellished simply with some bling.

JOY Tag

I'm back with a tag for Bugaboo's Christmas in July Thursday "Tag You're It" challenge!  I made a tag to go with a gift box of cupcakes.  The sentiment is colored with pencils and accented with glitter; I've utilized some die cuts and added twill and twine for embellishing.

You can see the tag a bit better in this shot; I was having a hard time photographing the box...the clear window made a "glare" on the photo.

Sentiment: Bugaboo Stamps
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Dark Chocolate, The Paper Studio DP
Embellies: Art Glitter in "Angel Dust", PTI Dark Chocolate Twill, Divine Twine
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, PTI Tag Sale 3 Die, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, McGill Circle Punch

Christmas Cupcake

I'm back with another Bugaboo challenge card!  Monday's challenge was a color challenge...chocolate, cream, and raspberry...it made me think of sugarplums....  I didn't have a sugarplum image, but I did have a cupcake one so that worked just fine!

The image is colored with pencils and I've mounted it to look like a Polaroid.  I added a bit of Baker's Twine and a button for embellishing.  The sketch is from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...I loved how clean and simple it is...I did tilt my image panel just for fun!

Image: Bugaboo Stamps
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream and Dark Chocolate
Embellies: PTI Raspberry Fizz Button, Baker's Twine
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

Merry Christmas

Good morning!  I was able to squeeze in Bugaboo's Sunday sketch challenge yesterday; between work and baking cupcakes, it took all day!  It seems that every time I sat down to work I was interrupted!  Just one of those days....

Doesn't it look as if Dottie has had a blast shopping?  She's colored with pencils and accented with a black gel pen and glitter.  I used one of my favorite Christmas 6x6 pads, combined a few fun patterns, and put the Corner Chomper to use.  A few brads were added for embellishment.  This is a great sketch...I will be using it again....

Image/Sentiment: Bugaboo Stamps
Ink: Printer, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Pure Poppy, SU! Soft Sky, Carta Bella DP

Believe

Good morning!  I'm playing along with Bugaboo's "Christmas in July" festivities...when I saw the details of their week-long celebration, I knew I had to play along!  Saturday's challenge was to use a Santa; I found this cute one in my stash and combined some other challenges to make my card.

The image is colored with pencils and Santa's hat is accented with glitter.  The image panel is distressed and mounted on a circle to mimic the cookies.  The layered DP's are also distressed.  I contemplated adding something else for embellishing, but decided there was enough going on with the busy DP....

CAS Recipe

Good morning!  It's time for another challenge from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight, Silvi has chosen our challenge and it is a recipe....  Are you ready for this?  Here it is!  The 3 ingredients are: Embossing, Ribbon, and Make Your Own Background.  Sounds fun, right?

I will have to admit that this was a bit of a challenge; after some thought I did come up with an idea for a CAS card.  First, I embossed a "frame" for my image panel.  Second, I created my own DP by using a text stamp then stamped over the top of it.  Third, I added a snippet of ribbon and a button for embellishing.  I used a 2-step stamping set from SU!...I had forgotten how fun it is to stamp in color!  I'll have to make sure to do more of that soon!

Stamps: SU! By Definition and Field Flowers
Ink: Sahara Sand, Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush, and Pear Pizazz
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, SU! Wisteria Wonder
Embellies: PTI Royal Velvet Button/DMC Floss, SU! Wisteria Wonder Ribbon
Extras: Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I hope you will check out the rest of the DT's creations for this fun challenge.  You have 2 weeks to play along...I'd love to see what you do with this recipe!
