UR Amazing

Good morning!  I was able to play along with the Split Coast Stampers sketch challenge yesterday; it had been a long time since I'd played, so it was fun!  Here are the details and sketch.

I used a fun set from Doodle Pantry, called "A-maze-ing Words 1".  Laurie has a bunch of cute mazes to choose from...I think they are really fun for kids' cards.  The image is printed on DP, die cut, and layered onto my card base with a banner and some Bella Dots.  Voila'...a quick and easy card for a teen!

And Baby Makes Three....

Good morning!  It's Tuesday so that means we have a new sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches; check it out:

I like the sketch...I chose to keep my card simple.  I pulled out one of my Stampendous Calendar Chick stamps...they are some of my favorites, I love to color them!  The image is colored with pencils, the eyes are dotted with a black gel pen, and I've added some glitter to the mama's bow.  I embellished simply with a button/floss.  I'm liking how this one turned out...I like the soft colors and glitter.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU! Marina Mist, DCWV DP
Embellies: Art Glitter in "Angel Dust", PTI Blueberry Sky Button/DMC Floss

Winter Fun

Good morning!  We have a new sketch for you at From the Heart Stamps; along with the sketch is an optional twist...interactive cards.  Here is the sketch we are working with this week:

I searched for different types of interactive cards that would go with the sketch and decided to make a shaker card...I thought some "snow" would be perfect with the image.  I printed and colored my image, die cut it...and then realized that I had not left enough margin for a "frame"!  Ack!  On to plan B...I finished the card, minus the fun shaker effect.  I've done a bit of sponging, paper piercing, and added glitter and a snowflake for embellishing.  (I bet you are wondering why I have a winter card today after posting a couple of springy ones....  It was below zero yesterday and we are supposed to get 1-2 inches of snow tomorrow!  Will spring ever come?)

Stella Says Sketch

Good morning!  It's time for a new Stella Says Sketch challenge at Bugaboo; here's the sketch we're working with:

Great sketch, right?!  This adorable bunny and her ladybug friends reminded me of some papers in my stash...and the elusive matching brad which took forever to find!  LOL  The image is colored with pencils and accented with a bit of glitter.  I've embellished simply with the brad.

it's all 'behind' ewe...

Good morning!  We have an inspiration challenge for you today at Bugaboo; check out the photo:

Hmmm, inspiration challenges are always tough for me...I tend to take them too literal.  I was browsing the store and when I came across this cute Ewe image, I knew it was perfect.  Don't they say "In like a lion, out like a lamb"?  So good riddance winter!  It's all behind us...hopefully!  LOL

The image is colored with pencils...I got the idea for the pink ewe from the Inkspirational challenge.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch and embellished with die cuts, brads, and a snippet of ribbon.

Celebrate

Good morning!  We have a new challenge for you at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight Jennifer has chosen our challenge and she would like to see something "Birthday" related.  Great challenge, it is always good to have some extra birthday cards for the stash!

I went with one of my old favorites...a Stampendous Calendar Chick!  She is colored with pencils and I've paired her with some springy looking papers and buttons for embellishing.  (I'm looking at my card on the computer screen and it looks like the pink paper and button don't match the pink coloring....  The card is sitting right here and it matches great...weird!  Has anyone else ever had this happen?)

Good morning...Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I've got a card to share using Faith's newest image and this week's From the Heart Stamps sketch.  We now have a weekly twist with our sketches...this week it is "Monochromatic".  I'm going for monochromatic with a splash of color....  LOL  Actually I was already working on a card that was monochromatic and then Faith put this adorable image in the shop and I decided to start all over.  I thought this Birdbrain would be cute with a splash of pink on her belly so I just went with it....

Lucky Shamrock

Good morning!  I have a card to share using the adorable Hamlet PigWit, who is From the Heart Stamps March Stamp of the Month.  This set comes with 2 versions; the one I have used today and one with a butterfly and daffodils...both are adorable!

If you played along with last month's progressive challenge, you received this image for free.  If not, there is still time to play along....  You can purchase the image in the shop or if you spend $10 in the shop, you can enter THINKSPING to receive it free.  If you play along this month, you will automatically receive the April image for free.  Sounds good, right?  Right!

I have used the Mojo Monday sketch and kept it clean and simple.  Hamlet is colored with pencils; I have tried to color him as I remember the pigs when I was growing up on the farm.  They aren't really white, but they are not pink either...just a hint of blush is how I would describe them.  I've added just a touch of glitter to a few of the shamrocks and coated the die cut shamrock with glitter.  I like how this simple sketch lets Hamlet shine!

with a Pop of Color!  Good morning!  We have a new challenge for you at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight I got to choose the challenge and since St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, I went with "Monochromatic Green with a Pop of Color".

I went with one of my favorites...Bugaboo's Stella!  I just love her sass...I sure don't think I would pinch her!  LOL  She is colored with pencils...do you see her pretty raspberry lipstick?  I took my "pop" of color from that and added some raspberry matting...I kept the layout simple otherwise.

Doodle Pantry March Release

Good morning!  Doodle Pantry has an exciting new release; there is a great selection of stamp sets which include images, sentiments, and DP, coordinating SVG shapes, and darling mazes.  There is truly something for everyone!

Today I am working with Purse Parfait...I'm a purse fan and I loved the colors.  The set has an awesome selection of purses in different styles, sentiments, and colorful papers.  I went with a pre-colored image, layered it for dimension, then added a bit of glitter.  The background actually consists of 4 squares, but you can't tell because of the angle of the image panel.  I've also added a bit of cheesecloth for texture.

Stamp Set: Doodle Pantry Purse Parfait
Ink: Printer, SU! Black and Lavender Lace Markers
Paper: PTI Winter Wisteria, SU! Taken With Tea
Embellies: Art Glitter in "Angel Dust", Cheesecloth
Extras: Spellbinder's Nestabilities, Foam Tape

You can check out the new release here; click on the sets to get some inspiration from the DT.

Flat Friends March Challenge

Good morning!  Emma, from Flat Friends, has a new challenge for March...we are focusing on "Cards for Men".  I don't know about you, but I rarely have "man cards" for my stash.  Emma has a bunch of new masculine images, but I used an older one that made me think of good times ahead.  I am really ready for warm weather...and food on the grill!  How about you?

The image is colored with pencils and I've paired it with some fun DP from my stash; for embellishing, I've used brads and a bit of grosgrain ribbon.

Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P. 110, SU! Ruby Red, PTI True Black, Carolee's Creations DP
