This week is the monthly Judged Challenge; in addition to the sketch, there is the added challenge of "giving thanks". So pull out your stamps and create a thank you card...you just may win a prize!

SC358: Baked with (heart)!!

Good morning! Yesterday I was able to work the SCS sketch challenge into my day off. I generally try to keep the measurements of my card as close to the sketch as possible, so I go on the hunt for a stamp that will "fit". My Changitos and Calendar Chicks are my "go to" stamps, so I decided to use this fun image. Luckily, I found some fun DP in my stash too!

Changito is colored with pencils and his eyes are accented with a black gel pen. The heart in the sentiment is accented with a bit of glitter. I added some brads, seam binding and a charm to complete my card.

Image/Sentiment: Stampendous "Changito Baker" Clear Set
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream and Dark Chocolate, SU! Baja Breeze, Moxie DP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Embellies: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, Spare Parts Brads, SU! Seam Binding, Karen Foster Charm
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

Thanks for stopping by today; have a good one!

Note: Second post today...scroll down for Creative Card Crew Challenge.

Hello again! Since it's Tuesday, it's time for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches; this fun one was created by Kathleen. Our sponsor this week is There She Goes; you can check out the store's goodies here.

As I was trying to decide what to make this week, I noticed the PTI onesie stamp on my table...it was already mounted on a block, so I thought I would just go with it. The onesie is really fun to paper piece! After stamping the onesie and cutting it out, I colored the pink trim and added just a touch of glitter. I used dies for the oval (right side), doily and scallop border. I did a bit of distressing and finished the card with some twill and Bella Dots.

Image: PTI Bitty Baby Blessings
Paper: SU! Blushing Bride, PTI Dark Chocolate, Canvas Corp. DP, PTI Chocolate Remix Collection (text for onesie)
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber
Embellies: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, PTI Dark Chocolate Twill, Bella Dots in "Chocolate"
Extras: Crayola Colored Pencil, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, PTI Doily Die, MFT Die-namics Scallop Border Die, Making Memories Distressing Tool, SU! Dimensionals

You can check out the rest of the DT's fun creations here. I hope you'll make time to play along this week so I can see your take on the sketch!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew Challenge

Good morning! Our new challenge at the Creative Card Crew is "Thankful". Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I chose to go with a Thanksgiving theme. Our sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp.
The image is colored with pencils, cut out with a Spellbinder's die, then popped up for definition. I kept it simple and used brads for embellishing. I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to enjoying turkey and pumpkin pie with my family! I'm thankful to have the holiday off this year.

Bellarific Friday

Good Friday morning! I combined the challenge on Blogabella (snowflakes) with a sketch challenge, a challenge to use 4 embellishments (let me tell you, that wasn't easy!), and a challenge to use some sparkle (LOVE sparkle!).

The image is colored with pencils and accented with glitter. I diecut, glittered, and layered some Spellbinder's snowflakes for my main embellishment, topping it with a Bella Dot and Swarovski crystal. I like the look of the glitz paired with the Kraft DP.
