ABC
Hello! Monday means "Anything But a Card" at Catch the Bug and I've got a fun, simple project to share! ABC is always a challenge for me...I was leaning towards a Valentine's project (it will be here before we know it!) and remembered the embellished Hershey Nuggets/tins. I knew I had some tins in my stash...but where? After tearing apart a closet, I checked my stash in the basement and found a few of them. Voila! Do any of you do that? You know you have something, but just can't remember where.... LOL I will say that I did find a few interesting crafty items in my closet....
I've colored the cheeky sock monkey with pencils and dotted they eyes with a black gel pen. The balloon is covered with some subtle glitter. The Nuggets are wrapped with strips of patterned paper and secured with a tiny piece of double stick tape so they won't slide around in the tin. I contemplated adding some red ribbon and brads to the belly band/ image combo, but I liked it better plain. Sometimes less is more....

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight Silvi has chosen our Recipe Challenge...she would like you to use Twine, Buttons, and Embossing. Great challenge!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #135
Good morning (again!) It's time for another fun sketch from the gang at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I realized St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, so I thought I should get busy and make some cards. I used one of my favorite standbys...Changito!
Changito is colored with pencils; his eyes are accented with a black gel pen and I added a touch of glitter to his 4 leaf clover. I like the contrast of the Kraft and distressed edges with the crisp white of the image panel and the sparkly glitter and dew drops. I actually did a bit of surgery on my card...when it was done, it just didn't look quite right to me. I extended the horizontal striped panel...afterwards I thought it looked so much better. Funny how something so small can make such a difference! Sometimes you really need to make those small adjustments to make the sketch work....

TMS#119
Hello again! Since it's Tuesday, it's time for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches; this fun one was created by Kathleen. Our sponsor this week is There She Goes; you can check out the store's goodies here.
As I was trying to decide what to make this week, I noticed the PTI onesie stamp on my table...it was already mounted on a block, so I thought I would just go with it. The onesie is really fun to paper piece! After stamping the onesie and cutting it out, I colored the pink trim and added just a touch of glitter. I used dies for the oval (right side), doily and scallop border. I did a bit of distressing and finished the card with some twill and Bella Dots.
