Sketchy Sunday

Good morning!  It's Day 2 of Catch the Bug's Christmas in July and we have a fun sketch for you!  Here it is:

I've used one of my favorite Dottie images and kept everything simple to show off the fun patterned paper; for embellishing I've used glitter and some twine.  Here's a close-up of Dottie:

Good morning!  It's "Humor Me Wednesday" at Catch the Bug; humor holidays for this week are:

Dec. 1st: "Eat a Red Apple Day"
Dec. 3rd: "National Roof Over Your Head Day"
Dec. 4th: "Santa's List Day" (Are you on the nice list?!)
Dec. 5th: "Bathtub Party Day"

As you can see I went with "Bathtub Party Day"...Dottie is having a bubbly party for one!  Looks relaxing!  She is colored with pencils, the tub is paper pieced, and I've added a bunch of glitter to the bubbles.  I've embellished with a die cut sentiment and some glittery "bubbles".

Bugaboo...Anything Goes!

Good morning!  "Anything Goes" is this Saturday's challenge at Catch the Bug.  I needed a "Get Well" card so I went with that theme...and Dottie.  (FYI: I do have to say that I dress a bit more conservatively than Dottie!)

The image was printed and colored with pencils.  I've added some banners and twill for embellishing.  Clean and simple!

I went with Bugaboo's Dotty...she isn't baking cakes, but she is baking fruit pies!  I've colored her with pencils and paired her with some fun papers from my stash.  I think I will send this one to my Mom, as a "thank you"; she baked some pies for the cake auction I was in charge of earlier this month.

Good morning and Happy New Year!  Today is my first post as a Sketch Saturday girl...what a great way to start the new year!  Great sketches and a great group of girls...what more could I wish for?
