Christmas Chaos: Oldie But Goodie Wrapped in Chaos

Good morning!  Welcome back to Day 6 of Catch the Bug's Christmas Chaos!  Today we challenge you to create holiday packaging...we would like to see your holiday wrap, tags, bags, tins, etc.  The possibilities are endless!

I have a bunch of these "Hershey Nugget" tins in my stash; I like to have them on hand for a quick little gift.  Let's face it...there are not a lot of people who don't like chocolate!  (My favorite is Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate with Almonds and Toffee...yum!)  I've colored the image, matted it with a die cut, and added glitter to the Santa hat.  I used coordinating paper to wrap the Nuggets and the tin, securing them with a small piece of Sookwang tape  Voila'!  A quick and easy gift!  Here's a close-up of the Nuggets.  (Hint: a 1x3 piece of patterned paper is perfect for wrapping the Nuggets.)

Hoppy Christmas

Good morning!  I'm back with another challenge for Bugaboo's Christmas in July week; today's challenge is "Anything But a Card" with the added twist of a color challenge.  Check out the color palette below:

Doesn't that color palette rock?  I love it!

One of my favorite things to make is an altered Crystal Light container.  (I have a stash of the old ones that I'm still using.  The new ones are oval; I like that the old ones are round so that I can use Spellbinders die cuts to decorate the lid.)  The image is colored with pencils and accented with glitter.  I've used a couple of papers that have been in my stash a long time...the colors were perfect.  I've added a button/pearl combo for embellishing and filled the container with some iridescent shred.  This will be perfect for a small gift or to jazz up the presentation of a gift card.

Paper: G.P. 110, SU! Garden Green, KI Memories Patterned Paper
Embellies: PTI Buttons in Raspberry Fizz, Spare Parts Pearls
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Foam Tape

I hope you'll play along with our challenge...there are some awesome prizes, including Guest Designer spots!

It's Coffee O'Clock....

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is our Anything But a Card challenge at Bugaboo; I've created a simple tag for a gift for a coffee lover.  I've taken a mug, filled it with instant coffee packets, wrapped it, and tied a tag on it...voila'...a quick and easy gift to brighten someone's day!  Here's a close-up of the tag:

The image is colored with pencils, the clock face is paper pieced and accented with a brad, there's a touch of glitter to the heart on the coffee cup, and grosgrain ribbon tops it off.

From the Heart Stamps May Blog Hop

Good morning!  Welcome to the From the Heart Stamps May Blog Hop!  Our theme for the month is "Get Well" or "Encouragement"...stay tuned for some great inspiration!

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry.  One random commentor on each blog will be selected to win the image that the designer used for their project.  Plus, one commentor on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $5 gift voucher to the store.

If you have arrived from Jo's blog, then you are in the right place.  If not, you may want to start at the From the Heart Stamps blog so you don't miss anything.

Here is my project, using Sick Chick:

I thought it would be fun to make something other than a card, so I went with a little gift basket...or cup!  LOL  The Birdbrain is colored with pencils and I've added some buttons for embellishing.  To attach the image to the cup, I adhered a thin strip of cardstock and wrapped it around the mug.  Inside the mug I included some tea, honey, tissues, and lip balm...I also bought a lemon but ran out of room even though the mug is giant.  I tied the sentiment tag around the lip balm with floss.
