Good morning!  It's time for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches; our sponsor this week is Clear Dollar Stamps and I am working with a set from the July release called Scripture Children.  It has beautiful silhouettes and sentiments.  Below is the sketch we will be working with; it has lots of possibilities....

I started by flipping my image and printing it on DP.  Next I cut my layers and did a bit of distressing before assembly.  I used some black brads to embellish.  I used a sentiment on the inside; it reads "Water a child with the Word and they will grow."

On the Beach/Under the Sea

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another fun challenge from Creative Card Crew; this fortnight out challenge is "On the Beach/Under the Sea" and our sponsor is Michelle Perkett.  I am using the lovely "Camille"...thank you Michelle!

After printing the image, I started coloring...colored some more...and some more!  I was thinking that this image was a bit too ambitious for me...I really wish I had that natural coloring ability that some people are lucky to have.  I kept on coloring and finally finished...yay!  I used the sketch from Stampin With the Dragon; I used my corner rounder, did some piercing, added ribbon and gems, and applied a bit of glitter to the pink trim.

Yippee!

Good morning; I hope your weekend is going great!

I see I now have 100 followers...my gosh, I never thought that would happen!  A heartfelt "thank you" to all who come to visit; it means so much to me that you stop by from time to time.  I want to share something funny with you on this topic....  My husband was telling someone about my blog, and he was telling them I actually have "followers and believers"....  Yes, that is really how he worded it!  Of course, they looked at him like we were both a bit goofy and involved in a cult or something!  LOL  I guess in his own way, even though he gives me a lot of grief about my hobby, he might be just a little bit proud of me too....  It was kind of sweet actually!

So, I am curious...does your significant other support your creative endeavors?  I would love to hear your story....

Next weekend, I will post a give away on my blog; not sure what it will be yet...maybe a fun cardkit since I love to make those...I'm still in the planning phases.  Stay tuned!

Have a great Sunday!

Far Out

Good Friday Morning!  Yay, the weekend is almost here!

I've got a card today using one of the cute MFT a' la modes...love them...they are fun to color!  I saw this DP at Hobby Lobby and bought a piece of it...I was thinking this stamp would be perfect for it.  I bet some of you are thinking "Why on earth did she use a purple card base?"  Well...there is purple in the DP...really, there is!  LOL  You know, I really hate it when you cover up the part that you want to show!  Does this happen to anybody else?  If you look really closely, there is a bit of purple by the "Far Out" sentiment...the rest is covered up....

The image is colored with pencils and the peace sign has a coating of black glitter.  I embellished simply with some paper piercing and brads.

Image/Sentiment: MFT
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and True Black, SU! Wisteria Wonder, The Paper Studio DP

Ruby's Rainbow: Cute Animal Challenge

Good morning!  It's time for a new challenge from the Ruby's Rainbow ladies...it is my turn to pick the challenge for this fortnight...yay me!  I choose "Cute Animals"...of course I was thinking of Changito!

I just received this stamp recently.  When I went to the Stampendous site, I noticed that they didn't have many Changito stamps available at all...I only found 2!  I also noticed that they are drawn a bit differently...the lines are a bit feathered.  Hmmm, I am really hoping that they aren't fazing Changito out!

My image is colored with pencils and I used the Mojo Monday sketch.  I had some fun tropical papers in my stash and used some twine and a hibiscus diecut for embellishing.

Image: Stampendous
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, PTI Chai, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Paper: PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream, and Dark Chocolate, SU! Poppy Parade, Making Memories DP
Embellies: PTI Baker's Twine, Barbara Trombley's Art Glitter in "Angel Dust", Doodlebug Glitter

Clear Dollar Stamps July Release

Good morning!  I have a few new sets and samples from Clear Dollar Stamps to share with you today, so let's get to it!

First up is a set called "Veterinary Clinic"; as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to work with it!  I made a scrapbook page featuring our puppy Paisley.  She is 7 weeks in the photo...I can't believe how tiny she looks!  She is close to 4 months old now, and has gotten huge!  I chose a couple of images from the set and paired them with some text.  I added a bit of color with pencils (I used purple to complement the color of her collar) and finished the page with a photo of Paisley.

Image/Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps "Veterinary Clinic" Digital Set
Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P. 110, SU! Basic Gray and Elegant Eggplant
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, QuicKutz Hand Tool and Photo Corner Die, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

Next I have a couple of cards using a set called "Cherries on Top".  For my first card, I chose a bunch of cherries and paired it with a coordinating sentiment.  The cherries are colored with pencils and diecut with Spellbinder's dies.

Image/Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps "Cherries on Top" Digital Set
Ink: Printer (dark brown)
Paper: SU! Pink Passion, PTI Dark Chocolate, Doodlebug DP
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

This card was fun to make because I learned some new tricks!  My daughter downloaded some free software so I can change the color of my images/sentiments, layer the images, etc.  Coming from a very non-technical person like myself, I must say I was elated when I was able to get all of the elements "just right"!  I lined up the cherries, added the cute little smilie face, and added a sentiment.  I was even able to position the  elements so I could just trim the CS, score a foldline and voila'!  I colored one cherry and scored some lines for definition.  I like the CAS look of this one.

Image/Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps "Cherries on Top" Digital Set
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Scor-Pal

The last set I'm showing today is called "Ice Cream Sticks".  It has a fun variety of images and sentiments, and I was eager to work with it as I am an ice cream lover!  I used a sketch from Charisma Cardz for my first card.  I paired the image with some fun, summery bright colored DP and colored the ice cream to coordinate.

Image/Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps "Ice Cream Sticks" Digital Set
Ink: Printer (dark brown)
Paper: PTI Hawaiian Shores and Dark Chocolate, Jillibean Soup DP
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

4 Crafty Chicks: Stripes
Crafting For All Seasons: Ice Cream/Popsicle

I used a sketch from the CAS blog for my next card.  The image is printed on CS and DP, then cut out and popped up.  I added a banner with the sentiment and some Bella Dots.

Image/Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps "Ice Cream Sticks" Digital Set
Ink: Printer (dark brown), SU! Marker (Close to Cocoa)
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Dark Chocolate, American Crafts DP
Embellies: Bella Dots
Extras: The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I did some more paper piecing with my last card.  I popped the cone up and elevated the sentiment in the middle.  I finished with a couple Bella Dots.

Image/Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps "Ice Cream Social" Digital Set
Ink: Printer (dark brown), SU! Marker (Close to Cocoa)
Paper: PTI Kraft, Stamper's Select, Dark Chocolate, and Dotty Biscotti DP

I am entering this card in Love to Create's 3 of Something challenge.

Well, that's it for today; I hope you will head on over to Clear Dollar Stamps to check out the new goodies!  Thanks for stopping by!

TMS#155

Good morning; I'm back with another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This week I went with a fun image from Bugaboo that I've had in my stash...I was in the mood to make baby cards...I love making them!

The image is colored with pencils and I've accented the card with buttons/twine.  I have to tell you, picking out buttons is never an easy process for me...I have to dump them all out, sort through them, etc.  Do any of you do this?  Anyway, I had fun picking these out...not so much fun threading the twine though....  LOL

Image/Sentiment: Bugaboo Stamps
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU! Ruby Red, DP (unsure, it was a scrap)
Embellies: PTI Buttons and Baker's Twine
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I hope you will head on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog to check out the rest of the DT's creations.  What will you create with this week's sketch?

CCC: Use Black Cardstock

Good (early) morning!  It's time for another challenge from the ladies at the Creative Card Crew; this fortnight our challenge is to use black CS and our sponsor is Kenny K Downloads.  My image is called "Jasmine"...thank you to Kenny K for providing such a fun image!

I have to admit I put off making this card...I was afraid to try and color the image...images like this scare me!  She's so darn cute, I didn't want to mess up!  Once I sat down to color, I actually enjoyed the coloring process...even though it took me a LONG time!  LOL  I am very slow....  My family teased me, "You're STILL making that card?!"

It's hard to see in the photo, but I did use a black cardbase; I embellished with white brads and a black flower made with MFT's "Loopy Bloom" Die-namics.  I have had the die a long time and came across it while I was searching for just the "right" die.  I really like the way the flower turned out and it was really easy...cut, fold, roll/glue!  I will be making more of these for sure!

Paper: G.P. 110, PTI True Black, Basic Grey DP
Embellies: Spare Parts Brads

Good morning!  I have a silly card to share with you today, featuring Bugaboo's Margaret...I love her, she cracks me up!  I'm not meaning to be offensive here, but...as a nurse, I can appreciate the humor.  Some of the patients get such funny cards; they love to show the staff.  I made this card for a friend's husband who just had surgery; he works in healthcare, so hopefully it will make him chuckle....

The image is colored with pencils, and I used one of my favorite "go to" layouts.  I used some themed paper from my stash and added some red brads for embellishing.

I used the sketch from the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge...as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to give it a try!  I like that I was able to use 3 of the DPs from the kit.  The piggy is water colored with inks...it's been awhile...I'm a bit rusty....  I've embellished with brads and a diecut flower.

Emboss It!

Good morning and Happy July 4th to my American friends!  Debbie, from Ruby's Rainbow, has a new challenge for this fortnight...emboss it!  Heat embossing, dry embossing...you choose....

I have 2 co-workers who are going to have babies very soon and I really wanted to make a baby card, so I combined this challege with some others.  One of the girls is having her first baby and it will be the third for the other.  It's been fun to watch them grow along the way...not so sure they would agree with the "growing" part!  LOL  They both look terrific though!

I used some DP from Graphic 45 for my card, along with some ribbons, buttons, and Swarovski crystals.  For the embossing portion, I embossed the butterfly panel with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder.  I have to note that the peach button looks really bright in the photo...in real life, it is soft and pretty.  I always wonder why the colors sometimes change when photographed?

Ink: SU! Marina Mist
Paper: PTI Fine Linen, SU! Marina Mist, Graphic 45 DP
Embellies: PTI Blueberry Sky Grosgrain and Fine Linen Satin Ribbons, PTI Buttons, Swarovski Flatback Crystals
Extras: Glue Dots, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I hope you will come on over to the Ruby's Rainbow blog to see what the DT has made for your viewing pleasure!

Good morning!  Today we have a new challenge from the Creative Card Crew...pearls and swirls.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp!
