Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt Blog Hop

Welcome to the Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt bloghop! We are kicking off Tiddly Ink's first birthday celebration and I am so glad you joined us to hunt for inspiration and goodies!

If you came from LOU'S blog then you are at the correct spot. If not, you might want to go back to the Challenge Blog and start hopping THERE. You might miss some of the prizes that are hidden around the hop if you don't start at the beginning.

My first creation today features Tiddly Ink's new image MINNIE'S BERRY. Christy created about 20 new images for her birthday celebration and you can find the rest of the images HERE.

When I saw this adorable image, I thought of this strawberry DP and knew it would be perfect! I love the bright pink and green paired with the crisp white. Don't you love Minnie's fun green glasses? I kept it clean and simple and used a ribbon loop and rubber sticker for embellishment.

TMS#91

Hello! Long time no see.... It has been busy at work; lots of overtime.... I'm happy to be back today with another challenge from Melissa at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Our sponsor this week is Digi Doodle Shop.

I did very little coloring this week; the baskets/ropes are shaded gray, while the balloons were paper pieced. I spent a lot of time trying to find coordinating colors/patterns, but I finally decided to go with one DP and add a touch of black. Once I made a plan, this card went fairly fast. The planning is what seems to take the most time for me...how about you?

Image: Digi Doodle Shop
Sentiment: Verve "Relax" Clear Set
Paper: Gina K. Designs Pure Luxery, PTI True Black, SU! Sweet Pea DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Black Marker
Embellies: Bella Dots
Extras: Spellbinder's Nestabilities, Prisma Pencil

You can find the sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog; I can't wait to see how the other ladies interpreted this sketch...I thought it a bit challenging! I kept thinking Christmas ornaments....

Thanks for stopping by; have a great day!

TMS#90: Surprise Pop-Up Card

Good Tuesday morning! No sketch from Melissa at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week, but a technique challenge instead. I will have to admit, I am not much for techniques.... I don't have a lot of patience.... Surprisingly, I will concede that I did find this one to be rather fun though! You can view a tutorial here; there is also a YouTube video link towards the end of the tutorial. I had more luck watching the video. Also, I would recommend using a piece of scratch paper to practice with before breaking out the "good stuff"!

I colored my image with pencils and then applied a LOT of glitter.... Glitter...it makes me happy! Since my DP is pretty busy, I kept the layering and embellishing to a minimum; just some simple felt flowers with buttons. The real fun with this card is when you pull up the tag to expose the hidden message. How fun is that? Now that I have learned how, I think I may be using this technique again....

Image/Sentiment: Stamping Bella

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen

Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Fine Linen and Dark Chocolate, Heidi Grace Designs DP

Embellies: Barbara Trombley's Art Glitter in "Angel Dust", Doodlebug Glitter (brown), PTI Dark Chocolate Twill and Buttons, PTI Raspberry Fizz, Fine Linen, Simply Chartreuse, and Hawaiian Shores Felt

Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, Corner Chomper, The Cat's Pajama's CutUp Die, DMC Floss, Red Line Tape, EK Success 3D Dots

I can't wait to see what the rest of the DT has crafted using this fun technique; I hope to see you play along too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #99

Hello there! I thought this week's CAS sketch would be perfect for the baby card I needed to make. I toyed with adding ribbon or a felt flower, but it just didn't look right.... I stuck with the simplicity of the alphabet beads. The image is colored with pencils and I paper pieced his jammies; the cardbase is dry embossed. Super simple! Image: Stamping Bella Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Black Marker Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Stamper's Select, SU! Marina Mist Embellie: Alphabet Beads (Hobby Lobby) Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, DMC Floss I went to check out the details on the Midnight Madness blog and for some reason, I can't gain access to their site. I get a pop-up that states operation aborted...does anybody know anything about this or how to fix it? I had the company we obtain our virus protection though run a scan and they said the computer was clean. This is happening to a lot of the blogs that I frequent; not all at once, just gradually. It's so very frustrating! Thanks for stopping by today! Angela

Corrosive Challenge #111

Hello there! I think I am just scraping by to get this challenge card completed.... The Corrosive Challenge Blog had a sketch challenge this week and their sponsor was Bugaboo Stamps, so I just had to play along and use this fun image of Scarlett that I received from Totally Stampalicious. They offer a few of the Bugaboo images in clear stamps.

Scarlett is colored with pencils and cut out with Spellbinder's dies. I love this paper from the Echo Park "Life is Good" line, so I kept the embellishing to a minimum so I wouldn't cover it up! I had originally planned to use a flower, but that didn't look right...at the last minute I found a flower button...I thought it was perfect. Inside the card reads: "Paper-$896

Markers and ink-$1194

Stamps-$6872

Handmade card...

PRICELESS!"

I thought the sentiment was pretty funny...something any stamper can relate to!

Image/Sentiments: Bugaboo Stamps for Totally Stampalicious

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: SU! Daffodil Delight, PTI Dark Chocolate, Echo Park "Life is Good" DP

Embellie: Button (my stash)

Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, DMC Floss

Thanks for stopping by; I hope you are having a terrific weekend!

Magnolia Card Kit Swap

I thought I'd share a picture of the kit I recently put together for a card kit swap, over at SCS, hosted by my friend Kathleen. If you havn't participated in one of these, you should give it a try; it's really fun! You just include the ingredients, for a card, in a baggie...easy peasy! This kit contains: Stamped Images: Tilda and Background DP: 7 Gypsies Ribbon: Wright's Black Grosgrain, and PTI Fine Linen Satin Embellies: Flower (MFT Die---PTI Melon Burst Felt), Leaves (The Cat's Pajamas Die---MFT Felt), Spare Parts Brads, Bella Dots, Corsage Pins Extras: Doily Die Cuts (PTI Dies---True Black and Fine Linen CS) I love putting the kits together and it's fun to chat with the ladies on the thread. Also, the anticipation of waiting to see what will be returned is fun too...love the suspense! Thanks for stopping by! Angela

SC328: Birthday Bee

Hello! I had a heck of a time getting this card finished today.... First of all, the sketch really stumped me so I wasn't going to play but I ended up looking through my stamps and decided to give it a go with this cute little bee. I finally finished the card, but had to wait to upload the photo because DD was doing her homework on the computer, then SC was acting up and I couldn't upload it. I decided to try one more time and it worked, but it appears my gallery has disappeared! Good grief! About the card.... The bee is colored with pencils and accented with glitter. The panels look pretty straight forward, but I found them a little tricky. What is that they say about measure twice, cut once? LOL The orange panel is Cuttlebugged with the numbers folder. There is supposed to be a circle to the bottom right, but I just couldn't make it work. I tried 3 different options and wasn't happy, so I decided to leave it off and add some ribbon. I might save this one for DD birthday.... Image: Stampendous Clear Set "Hap Bee Day" Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakure Black Gel Pen Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and True Black, SU! Pumpkin Pie, Bella Blvd. DP Embellies: Barbara Trombley's Art Glitter in "Angel Dust", Black Grosgrain Ribbon Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Cuttlebug Numbers Embossing Folder, EK Success 3D Dots All right, that's it for now. I hope to be back soon with more cards...I was asked to make a baby card for a co-worker, another co-worker had surgery, and a third co-worker just lost her mother. I had better get busy.... Thanks for stopping by! Angela

TMS#89

Good Tuesday morning! Melissa has another fun sketch for us over at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. I like the different size of this card...something different for a change of pace! The sketch showed arrows, but I modified it a bit and used a flourish.

I was at Hobby Lobby not too long ago and stamps were 50% off, so I couldn't resist these adorable bunny-hopping chicks! The chicks are colored with pencils and since I went with non-traditional Easter colors, I colored them buff. It's fun to change things up now and then...right?! I used a QuicKutz die for the flourish and added some bling to the curls. You can see a bit of sparkle in the photo, but it doesn't do the crystals justice...they are beautiful in real life!

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: PTI Fine Linen and Dark Chocolate, Bo Bunny DP

Embellies: Swarovski Flatback Crystals in "Light Colorado Topaz"

Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, QuicKutz Flourish Die

I hope you will head on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and check out the rest of the creations using this sketch. I am really excited to see what the girls used for the arrows....

Hopefully you can play along too!

Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge: "I Miss You"

Hello! I have the MFTWSC14 card to share today. I started this last Friday night and finished it up this morning; I was too tired to craft after work this weekend. It took me a lot longer than it should have; I was fiddling around with the bow and I'm still not happy with it.... The rest is okay though. The little gal is colored with pencils and I paper pieced her dress. I like the vintage style DP, so I used a PTI doily die and buttons for embellishing. Image/Sentiment: MFT Pure Innocence "Making a List" Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Black Marker Paper: PTI Kraft and True Black, October Afternoon "Schoolhouse" DP Embellies: PTI Buttons, Black Grosgrain Ribbon (my stash) Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, PTI Doily Die, DMC Floss That's all I have for today; tomorrow is Tuesday, so I will be back with a new Tuesday Morning Sketches card. Thanks for stopping by; enjoy your day! Angela

Easter Joy

Good morning! I decided I like the SCS sketch challenge so much that I would make another card.... I had seen some CAS cards in the gallery and loved them, so I thought I would give it a go. I had originally put the sentiment on a pink panel, but something about it seemed "not right". It has been sitting in my work area for the past couple of days and today I decided to try to make it "right". I decided to go with a white panel and I really think it looks a lot more cohesive with the white card base. What do you think? Which do you like better?

The DP was still sitting on my table from a previous project, so I went with it.... The image is colored with pencils and accented with glitter. I used some bling to finish it off. It was quick and easy! I love that!

Image/Sentiment: Stampendous Clear Set "Chick Ears"

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Hibiscus Burst, Flair Designs DP

Embellies: Doodlebug Glitter, MAMBI Bling

Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, EK Success 3D Dots

I am also entering this in this week's Corrosive Challenge, which was to use pastels. Janet is looking for another DT member, so I will throw my hat in too!

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by...have a good one!

Cookie Emma

Hello; happy Wednesday! How is your day going? I've had a nice, relaxing day. I always look forward to Wednesdays because of the SCS sketch challenge. I printed this sketch before I went to bed last night so I could sleep on it. I have to say that this one didn't turn out at all like I planned, but I had fun anyway!

I had planned to layer the image, but then realized she was sitting down. So...I decided to perch her on the center panel. After I glued her down, I realized the card was pretty bland and added some Bella Dots. Do you notice that there is not one by her head? There isn't enough room...it looked like an extra appendage and who wants one of those? LOL My original plan also was to use some ribbon too; I had a new idea I wanted to try, but will have to try it on another card later. So, what do you think? Should I have put a Bella Dot up by her head? What would you do? I learned a lesson...plan ahead! If I would have glued her down just a bit to the right, there would have been room....

Image: CC Designs Sugarplums "Cookie Emma"

I am hoping to get a bit more time crafting today. Wednesday nights are "Wing Ding" at church, so I probably won't have to cook tonight. It is awesome to have someone do the cooking and clean up for me...what a treat! Plus, the kids are helping to serve this month.

Thanks for stopping by!

TMS#88

Good morning! It's Tuesday, so that means Melissa from Tuesday Morning Sketches has another fun challenge for you.... Our sponsor this week is Deedee's Digis and the image I used is called Gifts of Spring, and I will say it was an easy choice because I love chicks! The sketch this week was pretty simple and straightforward; I like that you can showcase your DP as well as the image. I colored my chick with pencils and accented the bow with glitter, next the image is diecut and mounted with Nestabilities. I finished the card off with some ribbon and bling...lots of pink goodness! Love it! Image: Deedee's Digis Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Stamper's Select and Hibiscus Burst, Flair Designs DP Embellies: PTI Hibiscus Burst Grosgrain Ribbon, Me and My Big Ideas "Icons" Bling, Embossing Arts "Glitteries" Glitter Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, EK Success 3D Dots I hope you will hop on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and check out the DT's creations. We also have a new guest designer...my friend Kathleen, from Will Stamp for Wine. You will enjoy her beautiful work, so please help me give her a warm welcome! Thanks for stopping by today; I hope you will be inspired to play along! Angela

Look what I found....

Hello! How is your Sunday going? I hope you get a bit of time to be crafty today.... I have been working on a kit swap and hope to play along with the Verve sketch too.... I was sorting papers the other day and came across an old newspaper. I was wondering why I kept it and found this photo as I was thumbing through it. Inky Antics had a cardmaking contest and I won 2nd place; one of my friends owns the local paper, so they did a story about it. You can't see the card very well; it was a Christmas poem that was colored and then slipped into a "pocket". I made a Santa belt out of some faux black leather. I had forgotten all about this, so it was fun to find the picture and take a walk down memory lane. Thanks for stopping by today! Angela

SC326: Changito in Space

Hello there! I was finally able to get to this week's sketch challenge on SCS and I combined it with The Corrosive Challenge Blog's challenge which was to use stars. Woo hoo! 1 card, 2 challenges...I like that! Have you ever had a vision and your finished card just didn't really measure up? Well, that's what happened here.... LOL I'm thinking this will be a good one for a "little man"; not too little though, or I will have to find something to cover the end of the pin. The space ship is stamped on metallic silver paper; I added a bit of color with pencils and then some glitter. Changito is stamped again on CS, colored, cut out and adhered. The stars are punched out of Doodlebug Sugar Coated CS. Image: Stampendous Clear Set "Changito in Space" Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Black Marker Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Dark Chocolate, SU! Brushed Silver, Daisy Bucket Designs DP, Doodlebug Sugar Coated CS Embellies: SU! Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Doodlebug Glitter Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Quilting Pin, EK Success Star Punches, EK Success 3D Dots That's it for tonight; thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!
