Bugaboo BINGO

Good morning!  Yay the weekend is here and to kick it off right, Bugaboo has a new BINGO challenge.  I love BINGO challenges...does anyone else ever try for blackout?!  Here is our BINGO card:

I went top left diagonally to the bottom right:

Player's Choice: Stella
Homemade Embellishments: Felt Flower
Button: Apple

Stella Calendar Months-September is colored with pencils and I've went with an "apple" theme.  The corners of the DP are rounded with the Corner Chomper and I've embellished with ribbon, a flower, and Bella Dots.  Hmmm, Stella looks a little stern...not so sure I would like having her for a teacher!  LOL  The sentiment reads, "We have enough youth..how about a fountain of smart?"  Not only is she stern, she's sassy!  As if you hadn't already guessed that when you noticed her lipstick....

Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Aqua Mist, Dark Chocolate, and Pinefeather, Fancy Pants Designs DP

Team Spirit

Good morning!  We have a new challenge for you over at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight I picked the challenge and it is "Team Spirit".  That's right, show us your sport related cards and projects!

I decided to make a card for my daughter, who plays volleyball.  I used the MFT "Jersey" Stamp/Die-namics set.  I die cut the jersey, then stamped her number and the sentiment.  The card was looking a bit masculine, so I added a scalloped border to the main panel and some glitter to the jersey.  Do you think a 15 year old who doesn't think she should shave her legs because "boys don't" will appreciate the glitter?  I'm not so sure and yes, I did remind her that she is not a boy!  LOL  To finish it off, I added some cute ribbon from my stash.

Stamp Set: MFT Jersey
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and True Black, PTI DP
Embellies: Art Glitter in "Polar Bear", Ribbon Trends Satin Ribbon
Extras: MFT Jersey Die-namics, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I hope you will check out the rest of the creations from the team...they have done an awesome job with this challenge!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

Snowy Christmas

Hello!  It was a busy week/weekend; between work, Homecoming activities, the dance, and cupcakes I didn't seem to get much accomplished.  We sure did have lots of fun though!

I combined the Creative Card Crew Christmas Challenge with Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch.  Our Sponsor for Tuesday Morning Sketches is Raisin Boat...they sent me an adorable set called Snow Animals.  It was a fun set to work with...thank you Raisin Boat!

I started by stamping the center panel with trees and "snow".  The Santa Snow Bird was colored with pencils, glittered up, and mounted on some die cuts.  The papers are lightly distressed, and I've added ribbon and a glittery, layered snowflake for embellishing.

Image: Raisin Boat
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Palette Burnt Umber, SU! Soft Sky
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, and Pure Poppy, The Paper Studio DP

Hello!  I made this card for From the Heart Stamp's DT tryout.  I love the images and have a couple of stamping friends on the DT, so I thought I'd give it a whirl!

I am using Holly Jolly Christmas (it comes with sentiments too)...love those Birdbrains!  LOL  The image is colored with pencils and I've used a black gel pen on her eyes along with some glittery "eyeshadow"...there's a touch of glitter on the star too.  I wanted to keep the layout simple to keep the focus on the image, so I pieced together a background and tied on some red ribbon.

Sweet 16

Good morning!  I have a card to share and some exciting news...for the month of September I am Bugaboo Stamps Biggest Fan and will get to play along with their challenges!  How cool is that?  It's no secret that I am a huge fan, so I can't tell you how excited I was to get the email.

This is for the "Anything Goes" challenge.  I made this for one of my daughter's besties; I thought it was appropriate since my daughter has been doing a cupcake fundraiser this year.  She has 53 cupcakes on her menu and I tell you, we are knee deep in cupcakes...yummy!

"Girl Cupcakes" is colored with pencils and I've added some subtle glitter to the brown areas...I see the camera angle didn't capture it well though.  I've had these cupcake papers in my stash for years...love them!  I pieced together some of the coordinating papers for a fun backdrop for the "16".  For embellishing, I've used a bit of ribbon and some Swarovski Flatbacks.

Ivy Fairy

Hello there!  We would like to see "Wings" on your creation for our latest challenge at Creative Card Crew; our sponsor for this challenge is Delicious Doodles.  I am working with the lovely Ivy Fairy today; thank you to Delicious Doodles for the image!

The image was shaded a bit in grayscale; I thought it looked so pretty that I would just add hints of color.  In addition to coloring the ivy, I've added a bit of color to her face (eyes, cheeks, and lips) and a hint of pale blue to her beautiful wings.  I've done a bit of distressing to the papers and for embellishing, I've added glitter to a portion of her wings and pleated some ribbon.
