Jingle Bell Birdbrain Chick

Good morning!  We have a great new sketch for you at From the Heart Stamps, along with an optional twist which is to "Distress Edges".  Check out the sketch:

I've used Faith's newest Birdbrain...I think each new Birdbrain is my favorite!  LOL  He's colored with pencils and I've added glitter to his hat, along with silver glitter to the jingle bells.  I don't always add sentiments, but this sketch was perfect for one, plus the sentiment was too darn cute not to use.  I've embellished simply with twine and a jingle bell.

happy birthday to ewe!

Good morning!  Have you been playing along with Bugaboo's 4th Birthday celebration?  I sure hope so; there are some GREAT prizes up for grabs!  Wednesday is Humor Me Wednesday so we would like to see a funny birthday creation.

I thought this image was a hoot, so it was an easy choice for this challenge.  It's colored with pencils and I've done some simple layering and embellished with a twine-tied button.  This is attached to a simple, handmade birthday box with a surprise inside:

Moolah!  What young person doesn't appreciate some of that? (I will be saving this for my son's birthday.)  I printed a cute poem embellished with some DP corners for one side and for the other I rolled some bills, tied them with twine, and used just a touch of taperunner to hold them in place (they are easy to remove).  Voila'...card and gift all in one easy package!

Image: Bugaboo "Make it Snappy-Birthday Ewe" Digital Stamp
Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Pure Poppy and Dark Chocolate, Doodlebug DP
Embellies: PTI Dark Chocolate Button/Pure Poppy Baker's Twine

Bee Birdie

Hello!  Today is my first post as a member of the Doodle Pantry DT and I'm excited to work with Laurie's images...I especially love the ants, but I find I am really enjoying the birds too!

Today I am sharing a card made with one of the October release sets; "Bee Birdie" features both uncolored and colored images, sentiments, and coordinating papers.  I am working with a colored image today, along with one of the matching papers.  I liked the touch of blue in the wings, so thought I would use that for my card base and accents.  I've done a bit of distressing to some of the panels and added a button and twine for embellishing; there's also a touch of glitter on the wings.

Image: Bee Birdie
Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Blueberry Sky and True Black, Doodle Pantry DP
Embellies: PTI Blueberry Sky Button, Devine Twine, Art Glitter in "Angel Dust"
Extras: The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

We would love to have you play along with us!  You may now use any digital image, but ONLY those who use a Doodle Pantry image will receive "Angel Birdie".  One entry per person, please.  There will also be a sale at the Doodle Pantry shop from October 1-7; October images will be 25% off.  "Stocking Ants" is "free with purchase"; it's an adorable set so now is a great time to shop...click here to see the new goodies!

I am also entering my card in the Card Mania: Cute as a Button challenge.

Christmas Cupcake

I'm back with another Bugaboo challenge card!  Monday's challenge was a color challenge...chocolate, cream, and raspberry...it made me think of sugarplums....  I didn't have a sugarplum image, but I did have a cupcake one so that worked just fine!

The image is colored with pencils and I've mounted it to look like a Polaroid.  I added a bit of Baker's Twine and a button for embellishing.  The sketch is from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...I loved how clean and simple it is...I did tilt my image panel just for fun!

Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream and Dark Chocolate
Embellies: PTI Raspberry Fizz Button, Baker's Twine
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

The cuppies are colored with pencils and the cherries have a bit of glitter on them.  I used Doodlebug sugar coated CS for the banner and oval, and embellished it simply with a candle, twine, and tag.  If you look closely, you will see 2 tiny brown brads at the top of the banner.

In The Garden....

Good morning!  Ruby's Rainbow has a new challenge for this next fortnight; our theme "In The  Garden" was chosen by Shaz.  With zero degree temperatures here at the present, this helps me look forward to spring...I am so ready for it!

As I was looking through my stamps for something to work with, I came across Stella and knew I had to ink her up...I love her quirkiness!  Do you like the smudges of dirt on her face?  She's colored with pencils and I've accented her crown and wand with yellow glitter.  The sketch is from Some Odd Girl; I've done a bit of distressing and added a button/twine for embellishing.

Canary Love

Good morning!  It's time for another challenge from the Forever Friends Monthly Team.  For this challenge we would like to see an animal/bird/butterfly (you don't have to include all three) on your card.

The Forever Friends Favorite winner will win two digis of their choice from Saturated Canary.  Remember, to be in the running for this you must use a Forever Friends product on your card.

The Randomly Selected Winner will receive a prize package from Joanna Sheen, including:

1 tin of water colour crayons
1 stamp set-vintage babies
1 stamp set-DIY
1 stamp set-Fairy
1 stamps set-Clock

See prize package below:

Krista, from Saturated Canary let us pick an image to use...thank you, Krista!  I really had a hard time choosing, because I love her amazing images!  I choose "Canary Love" and I will admit that next came a good case of "coloring anxiety"!  LOL

The image is colored with pencils and I accented the red heart with a touch of subtle glitter.  I kept the layout simple...just distressed the papers and added a ribbon, felt heart, button/twine, and stickpins for embellishment.

I love Granny's Smith apples, so I wanted my card to be primarily green...I added a bit of caramel and some red for contrast.  The image is colored with pencils and the panel is popped up.  I was trying to figure out what to put in the upper left corner and then remembered my stash of alphabet beads...perfect!

Anything But a Card....

Good morning!  It's time for another challenge from Ruby's Rainbow; this fortnight my teamie Jackie has chosen "Anything But a Card".  Sounds interesting, right?  The possibilities are endless!

At first I wasn't sure what to do, but I happened to find some fun little tin pails at Target's Dollar Spot.  I bought a few to have on hand and decided to embellish one and make a tag to match for our challenge.  It will be good to have on hand when a birthday party pops up.  The bucket could hold candy, nail polish, a gift card or all three!  LOL

I colored my little chick with pencils and cut her out with Nestabilities.  The tag is cut with a PTI die and I used Jen del Muro's July SFYTT for my layout.  I added a bit of ribbon, Baker's Twine and some brads.  The image panel is popped up.  For the pail, I picked assorted coordinating ribbons and tied them onto the handle.

Ruby's Rainbow: Cute Animal Challenge

Good morning!  It's time for a new challenge from the Ruby's Rainbow ladies...it is my turn to pick the challenge for this fortnight...yay me!  I choose "Cute Animals"...of course I was thinking of Changito!

I just received this stamp recently.  When I went to the Stampendous site, I noticed that they didn't have many Changito stamps available at all...I only found 2!  I also noticed that they are drawn a bit differently...the lines are a bit feathered.  Hmmm, I am really hoping that they aren't fazing Changito out!

My image is colored with pencils and I used the Mojo Monday sketch.  I had some fun tropical papers in my stash and used some twine and a hibiscus diecut for embellishing.

The image is colored with pencils and I've accented the card with buttons/twine.  I have to tell you, picking out buttons is never an easy process for me...I have to dump them all out, sort through them, etc.  Do any of you do this?  Anyway, I had fun picking these out...not so much fun threading the twine though....  LOL

Image/Sentiment: Bugaboo Stamps
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU! Ruby Red, DP (unsure, it was a scrap)

Good morning!  I was the lucky winner of the Bugaboo sketch challenge and my prize was 10 digital stamps...woo hoo!  Oh my gosh, I had so much fun picking them out!  I love Margaret, and Stella, and Gus....  I just had to work with one of them right away.  Since the 4th is right around the corner, I went with Margaret Calendar Month July.  Is she a hot tamale or what?  I'm loving her lipstick!

Margaret is colored with pencils and all of the white stars have some sparkly glitter...nice and festive!  I used some Doodlebug DP that I have had in my stash for years, added some ribbon and twine, along with another glittery star and a button.  The sketch is from Seems a Little Sketchy; I thought it was perfect for Margaret!
