Lucky Birdbrain Chick
Good morning! It's time for a new challenge from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight Jennifer has chosen our challenge and she would like to see "Anything Green". Sounds good!
Since St. Patrick's day is right around the corner, I decided to go with Lucky Birdbrain Chick; the image is colored with pencils and I've added a lot of glitter so it is nice and sparkly. I pulled out a past From The Heart Stamps sketch and the twist that week was monochromatic so that was perfect for R.R. theme! I did add just a splash of pink for color. Here's the sketch:
Image: From the Heart Stamps "Lucky Birdbrain Chick" Digital Image
Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P. 110, SU! Wild Wasabi, Reminisce Patterned Paper
Embellies: Martha Stewart "Sugar Cube" Glitter, PTI Hibiscus Burst Twill, Kaiser Pearls
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone

Recipe: 3-2-1
Good morning! We have a fun, new challenge for you at Catch the Bug...it's a recipe! We would like to see a card with:
* 3 Word Sentiment
* 2 Flowers
* 1 Image
Sounds good, right?! I started by looking for an image with a 3 word sentiment...when I saw JJ I knew she was the one because I love making baby cards! I also found a fun sketch and wanted to use pink and pearls...now that's a fun challenge!
JJ is colored with pencils (I love the "pop" of blue with all the pink/brown!) and I've embellished with some punched/layered flowers with pearls and some twill. I like how this one turned out...I love the patterned paper.

Favorite Color Combo
The ladies at the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog have a fun, new challenge...Use Your Favorite Color Combo. Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St. Dennis, and he has generously allowed me to pick the beautiful Eve to work with. I think Eve is beautiful...a bit different than what I normally work with...thank you, Rick!
Eve is colored with pencils and I have paired her with some elegant Echo Park DP. I've distressed my papers and embellished with ribbon, leafy swirls and pearls. I wanted the image to take center stage. As far as my favorite color combo...it was a bit hard...I knew I would pick pink, but there are so many different great color combos to choose from. The pink/green combo here is a bit more subdued than what I would normally choose, but I like it for a fun change.

On the Beach/Under the Sea
Happy Tuesday! It's time for another fun challenge from Creative Card Crew; this fortnight out challenge is "On the Beach/Under the Sea" and our sponsor is Michelle Perkett. I am using the lovely "Camille"...thank you Michelle!
After printing the image, I started coloring...colored some more...and some more! I was thinking that this image was a bit too ambitious for me...I really wish I had that natural coloring ability that some people are lucky to have. I kept on coloring and finally finished...yay! I used the sketch from Stampin With the Dragon; I used my corner rounder, did some piercing, added ribbon and gems, and applied a bit of glitter to the pink trim.

Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select and Harvest Gold, SU! Melon Mambo, Fancy Pants Designs DP
Embellies: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, Organdy Ribbon (my stash), Kaiser Rhinestones

Pearls and Swirls
Good morning! Today we have a new challenge from the Creative Card Crew...pearls and swirls. Our sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp!
I used a lovely sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps; after changing the color of the text to a dark brown, I printed it on the backside of the DP, then distressed the CS and DP panels. For my swirls I went with a die from Cheery Lynn, added a handmade felt flower and finished with a scattering of pearls. I like how this one turned out.
Sentiment: Clear Dollar Stamps Digital Image
Ink: Printer
Paper: PTI Dark Chocolate, SU! Sage Shadow, My Mind's Eye DP
Embellies: Kaiser Half Pearls
Extras: Cheery Lynn Designs "Flourish" Die, MFT Royal Rose Die-namics Die/PTI Canyon Clay Felt
If you'd like to play along, just link your creation to the Creative Card Crew blog and you just might be the lucky winner of a prize from Simon Says Stamp!
I am also entering my card in the following challenges:
Crafty Creations Challenges: Embellish It (my 3 are felt flower, swirl diecut, and pearls)
Guylou's Inimitability: Swirls and Pearls
Little Red Wagon: Sentimental You (sentiment as main focus)
Robyn's Fetish: Distressing
Sarah Hurley: Dimension and Texture
Stampin' Sisters in Christ: Use Something New (new image...first time I've used it)
Happy crafting!

TMS#142
Good morning; it's time for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! Our sponsor this week is Raisin Boat; they sent me the cutest stamp set called "Cool Treats". Actually it was the perfect choice for me since I am an ice cream lover...thank you so much Raisin Boat!
I chose the ice cream cone to work with and colored the image with pencils. Doesn't that strawberry frozen yogurt look yummy? I used diecuts for the panels and added some half pearls and ribbon for embellishments.
Image/Sentiment: Raisin Boat
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Fine Linen and Hibiscus Burst, Bo Bunny DP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Embellies: PTI Hibiscus Burst Grosgrain Ribbon, Kaiser Pearls
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Dimensionals
I hope you will head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches to check out the rest of the line up. I'm excited to see the rest of the team's creations as well. I would love to see you play along too....
Thanks for stopping by!
