I was able to play the SCS sketch challenge yesterday; it had been awhile, so I was glad I could play! It was a fun sketch and I went with one of my "go to" images, the Stampendous Calendar Chicks...love those chicks! I also used some paper in my stash that I have been hoarding a bit; I like it so much that I didn't want to cover it up, so I used vellum for one of the panels. I did run the vellum through the Cuttlebug to add a bit of texture. The chick is colored with pencils and her flowers are accented with glitter. I made a felt rose with the MFT Rolled Rose Die-namics die, which I have been using a lot. The roses are so easy to make! Also, it is so much cheaper than buying flowers...I'm all for saving a bit when I can.

Very cute! I like the embossed vellum over the DP.
This is so sweet. I love those chicks too! Your coloring is so pretty and your paper is gorgeous. I love your rose. Mine don't look that good when I try..I need to practice more I guess. Anyway your card is beautiful.
LOVE that paisley paper...so pretty! I haven't played with that sketch yet, but love the layout! I can't imagine not having AC...we've got a heat index of 110 today and tomorrow the regular temp is predicted to be 101! Hate to say it, but I'm ready for fall!
