The Corrosive Challenge: Charms!

Hello! Good (early) Sunday morning! I fell asleep in the chair tonight and it's really close to Sunday, so I thought I would post this now. I may sleep in; I have developed a really sore throat. Ack! DD had one; then came an ear infection, then a bad cough. Maybe I just need a little R & R....

Anyway.... Let's talk about this week's challenge on The Corrosive Challenge Blog! It's charms! I love charms! I knew right away what I wanted to make. I have had this Bella image and sentiment, along with the peapod charm. I was lucky enough to find this vegetable paper on my last shopping trip. It's by Cosmo Cricket and is double-sided; I love the cute little faces on the vegies!

Bella is colored with pencils. I didn't know if I wanted to work some blue into the card, since there was none in the DP. I was sorry right away, when I started coloring, because it was really hard to blend! Ack! If anybody has any tips for coloring with dark blue, please share them with me....

I made a little tag out of the Kraft, added the peapod, and tied it with some jute. I tied my knot with the ribbon and added a bit of a glue underneath the knot to hold the tag in place. I really love the ribbon on this card. It came from my friend Chrissy; I just hosted a PTI swap and she tucked some goodies into the package for me. I love how it's crinkly and just a bit shabby! It really drapes nicely too!

Image/Sentiment: Stamping Bella
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream and Kraft, SU! Ruby Red, Cosmo Cricket DP
Embellies: Cream Ribbon(from Chrissy), Peapod Charm (my stash), and PTI Rustic Jute Button Twine
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Foam Tape

I hope you will head over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog to check out the DT's goodies. There are links in my sidebar to their blogs as well. I hope you can play along this week!

Thanks for stopping by; enjoy your Sunday!

Supercute!! Love the image and the matching dp and the charm is really lovely! I love how you coloured the image. I can't see that you had problems with the blue, it lloks perfect. My solution for the problem is adding more colour with my pencil and then I blend again.

This is gorgeous!! You make it look so easy how you pull together these cards. (I have so much trouble with putting a card together.) I love how the paper matches the bella image. And that charm is so cute hanging there with the tag! One of my fave cards by you. And I have a lot!!
