Sundae Sweeties

Good morning!  Creative Card Crew is back with a new challenge to kick off 2014; for this fortnight Kenny K is our sponsor and we have a sketch for you.  Here's our sketch:

I snagged this adorable freebie from his site, colored it with pencils, and accented it with glitter.  I paired it with some fun Valentine DP from my stash and added some Bella Dots for embellishing.

CCC: Use Black Cardstock

Good (early) morning!  It's time for another challenge from the ladies at the Creative Card Crew; this fortnight our challenge is to use black CS and our sponsor is Kenny K Downloads.  My image is called "Jasmine"...thank you to Kenny K for providing such a fun image!

I have to admit I put off making this card...I was afraid to try and color the image...images like this scare me!  She's so darn cute, I didn't want to mess up!  Once I sat down to color, I actually enjoyed the coloring process...even though it took me a LONG time!  LOL  I am very slow....  My family teased me, "You're STILL making that card?!"

It's hard to see in the photo, but I did use a black cardbase; I embellished with white brads and a black flower made with MFT's "Loopy Bloom" Die-namics.  I have had the die a long time and came across it while I was searching for just the "right" die.  I really like the way the flower turned out and it was really easy...cut, fold, roll/glue!  I will be making more of these for sure!
