Good morning and Happy New Year! With the arrival of the holiday season, I noticed a lot of challenge blogs were taking a break, which is good as it gives us more time to enjoy our families and the festivities. That said, I am happy to be back in the swing of things and get a routine going again! Anyone else feel that way?
With the new year comes a new challenge from the
Creative Card Crew...Snow Day! I really love this theme...to me it means snow, snowflakes, and glitter...I love it all! Our sponsor for this challenge is
Simon Says Stamp, a great online store that has a huge variety of stamping goodies. Play along for a chance to win some of those goodies for yourself!

I choose a stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas that had been begging to get inked.... Isn't the bunny the cutest? The image is colored with pencils, cut out with a Spellbinder's die, and accented with glitter. I went for the subtle stuff...just wanted to add a hint of sparkle so I applied it to random snowballs, not all of them.... I also used a die from TCP, called
Snowflake Lace Paper. It is really cool since you can use both the positive and negative shapes; if you are into snowflakes like I am, this die is a "must" for your collection! I embellished the card with some ribbon, a button, and some Swarovski flatback crystals; I like the contrast of the "homey" button with the "fancy" crystals.
