1 Card...2 Challenges!

Good morning! I used the SCS Sketch Challenge when making this card for the Corrosive Challenge Blog's "All About Kids" challenge. Isn't it great when you can make 1 card and use it for 2 challenges? Score!

The little chick is colored with pencils and I added a bit of glitter to her party hat. The image is mounted on 2 scalloped ovals; I tried 1 and the image seemed to get lost on the card...number 2 seemed to do the trick. I used some of my all-time favorite DP...love the numbers...so appropriate for a birthday card!

Image: Stampendous "Party Hat Chick"
Sentiment: SU! "So Happy for You"
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Sweet Blush and Dark Chocolate, American Crafts DP
Embellie: Doodlebug Glitter
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, Corner Chomper, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

Do any of you get migraines? I am on day 2 of a bad one; I'm exhausted but can't sleep! I tossed and turned and finally got up. Poor hubby...I think I was driving him nuts! I'm going to try reading a book to see if that will put me to sleep.... Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks for stopping by; have a good day!

Love your layout on the sweet card. It is a darling card. So sorry about your migraine..no help from me. I used to have them but not for several years. Imitrax or something like that is what Denise uses. She gives herself a shot.

So cute! Love the number paper, it is perfect for a birthday card, and the chick is too cute. Hope your migraine is getting better, I don't get them often, but I try to lay in a dark room and put a heating pad under my head/neck. Drink lots of water too, that seems to help me a bit. They stink though, and I hope yours goes away soon!

This is such an adorable card with your sweet little chick as the highlight of this unique sketch! Never had to deal with migraines, but have nursed others who fought them. There are some prescription meds that can help...and I'm not quick to say to use meds, but there's a time and a place for them.
