Vintage "For You"

Good morning! I picked up the latest Paper Crafts publication, Card Creations Volume 9, the other day and I have earmarked a bunch of cards to CASE. I think I see something new every time I look through the magazine; I love to look at it as I'm watching t.v. in the evenings.

This card caught my eye since I had recently purchased this stamp. I really love vintage and sewing themes and since this combined both, I just had to whip up a few for my stash. The original card was created by Maile Belles and is shown on page 39. I switched up the colors and sentiment. They were fun and simple to put together.

Image: Hero Arts
Sentiment: Lili of the Valley
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber, PaperTrey Ink Chai
Paper: PTI Fine Linen, G.P. 110, PTI Distressed Dots
Embellie; PTI Dark Chocolate Button
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, DMC Floss

Thanks for stopping by; have a great day!

Angela

What fun cards! My mom used to make a lot of my clothes, and I used to love looking at the sketches in the pattern books. These cards bring back lots of happy memories. Love the color combo and the way you did your DP--very cool!

This is a wonderful vintage looking card. Good for you making a few of them. I love the punch of color of the purple and green dresses on the white background, it looks great. I always think a button finishes a sewing card perfectly. These look great!
