You're Sun-Sational!
Good morning! Today is an exciting day as it marks the first challenge of a new challenge blog...
Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! A few changes were made to the former Forever Friends Challenge Blog, hence the new name. Please stop by to check things out; there will be weekly challenges...we do hope you will play along!
For our first challenge, our sponsor is MilkCoffee. I am using an adorable image called "Tiffany swimming in the beach wearing bikini"...thank you to MilkCoffee!
Tiffany is colored with pencils...as you can see, she has remembered her sunscreen! I hope you will too! I've used some very old papers from my stash...I thought they were a perfect fit for the image...and done a bit of sponging on the edges. I embellished with a die cut sentiment/ribbon, and a die cut flower embellished with glitter.
Image: MilkCoffee
Sentiment: Kraftin' Kimmie
Ink: Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, PTI Chai
Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Kraft, SU! Poppy Parade and Old Olive, Making Memories DP
Embellies: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, Kraft Grosgrain Ribbon
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Ribbon Slide Die, MFT Die-namics Hibiscus Die, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos
I hope you will check out the rest of the DT's creations.
I combined our challenge with a few others...I was going for pink, girly, flowers, ribbon, and a sentiment:
Crafting with Dragonflies: One for the Girls
Crafty Ribbons Challenge: Anything Goes with Ribbon
Digi Sketch Challenge: Cute (T)
Fab 'n' Funky: For the Girls
MilkCoffe Challenge: Load on the Flowers
Papertake Weekly: Sketchie Free for All (amazing sketch!)
Sassy Studio Designs: Hit the Beach
Sentimental Sundays: Outdoor Fun
The Perfect Sentiment: Make Them Laugh
Use it Tuesdays: Anything Goes---hoarded stash is Making Memories DP
On a serious note.... My Mother was recently diagnosed with melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer; this meant surgery ASAP! I'm not talking a "little biopsy", I'm talking a "wide excision"...a large, deep incision...and a large scar to go with it. She was lucky it was caught early, so no lymph nodes are involved. Her diagnosis also means full body checks every 3 months with the Dermatologist, plus notifying her Optometrist and Gynecologist. Yep, you read that right...Optometrist and Gynecologist! I'm a nurse and I didn't know it would involve all that.... It is important that her siblings and children be screened as well. I have my appointment scheduled.... So, please protect yourself...use your sunscreen!
Thanks for stopping by; have a relaxing weekend!
Angela
