Good morning! It's time for From the Heart Stamps November Blog Hop; our theme this month is "CAS and Over the Top"...hop along for some fabulous inspiration from the DT!
As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry. One random commentor will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from Faith's store.
If you have arrived from the From the Heart Stamps blog you are in the right place, if not why don't you start at the From the Heart Stamps blog so that you don't miss anything. We were challenged to make 2 cards this month...one "clean and simple" and the other "over the top". Here's my CAS card:
I choose one of Faith's adorable snowmen, Blowing Kisses, and used the sketch from the Cheerful Sketches Challenge Blog. For my CAS version, I kept it really simple with clean lines, minimal layering, a touch of glitter on the red heart, and just a single snowflake for embellishing. Next up is my Over the Top card:
Here are the changes I have made for my Over the Top version:
1. Downsized the image and added a sentiment.
2. Printed an extra image so I could pop up the hat, gloves, nose and foot for added dimension.
3. Colored the hat and gloves a bit darker than the CAS version, to help balance the addition of the red.
3. In addition to glitter on the heart, I have added glitter to the hat and gloves. (I've used 3 kinds of glitter!)
4. I've added red to the aqua/white color scheme.
5. I've added another background layer, and matted all layers for definition.
6. I've added 2 extra snowflakes.
Here is a detail shot of the image panel:
Image: FTHS "Blowing Kisses" Digital Image
Paper: G.P. 110, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury. PTI Pure Poppy, Lawn Fawn Patterned Paper
Embellies: Martha Stewart Glitters-Crystal Fine, "Sugar Cube", and "Candy Apple"
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Snowflake Dies, Foam Tape
Now head on over to Brenda's blog to check out her fabulous creation!
Thanks for hopping along with us today; the hop will end on Monday, November 9th at 6:00 a.m. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps blog on Wednesday, November 11th.

These are gorgeous cards Angela - love the pretty colours and layout on both of them :-)
Oh my gosh! Completely adorable!
I haven't coloured up this little cutie yet, love how you've popped it up for simension on the OTT card, and I love the papers you've used too. Fabby cards!
Great cards Angela. Love how you photographed them side-by-side. Really allows for the comparison. Also appreciate the way you outlined the changes. I have to say I'm drawn to the Over The Top version. The popped up hat and mittens really add to this card as does the matting. Great work!
Both these cards are lovely! I especially like the decoupage on the OTT card!
Really great cards...love the explanation for going over the top. Great ideas I can use.
This image is so adorable. Thank you for sharing the differences you made to these cards. It was interesting to know how amazing a card can look with more detail and layers:)
Looks like we had like minds for this blog hop -- I used the same image and the same sketch for my over the top card! I adore red & aqua together and your OTT card is just beautiful. The bokeh effect of the papers on your CAS card is so soft and pretty -- something that works really well with a CAS layout.
I love both of these cards. This theme is great!
Sweet CAS cards and lovely colors.
Both cards are adorable! Fabulous coloring!
Wonderful cards! Love how you popped up the hat and embellished the OTT one :)
Both are sooo cute!! But I love how you popped up the hat and gloves!! Nice touch! TFS!
I love both of these cards and the little snowgirl's face is so sweet. Sarah W
Ultra Fabulous! Love how you paper pieced his clothes :-)
Hi Angela, beautiful cards, but for me the second card is totally me, I can never leave well enough alone, I love the layers and depth they add. Just a shame on the postage... have a great weekend...Megan
Angela... Your concept between CAS and OTT is spot on!! I love how you used the same layout on both cards. Loved the extra layering you did on the snowman too!! Beautiful cards!!
They are both adorable but I love the addition of the red and the 3d dimension to the bottom one. I just help but smile when I see this adorable image.
I would have to say I like both cards equally!
Such pretty cards! Thank you for joining us at TIOT's!
Both cards are adorable, Angela. Lovely colors and great variety on the sketch.

Fabulous cards, Angela. Great that you´ve used the same layut on both and i like that you pop up elements on the Over the Top card.
These are great! I love that you added the changes you made - that was a great idea - and what FUN changes! I really like the added dimension on the hat and gloves! Thanks for the inspiration!
Adorable! It is one of my favorite images.
These are both fantastic Angela! I love the pop of the red paper on the second one and the 3D mitts and toque.
These are adorable, love how you showed the difference using the same layout!
Both of your card are gorgeous. Love that image.
