Try Something New....
Good morning...more importantly, Merry Christmas to you! I hope your holiday season has been filled with health, happiness, family, and friends! The kids have been wrapping and baking the last few days, so it has been very festive here...I have to say, I love having the help to get things done! My son played Joseph in our church Christmas program last night...how fun that was! We are planning to spend a relaxing morning at home, before getting together with family later today. Er, I guess the "relaxing" part comes after the frenzy of seeing what Santa left under the tree.... LOL
We do have a challenge for you this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It is "Anything Goes", but we would like you to try something new...for example, a new technique. There is a good prize up for grabs; you can read about on the Tuesday Morning Sketches post.
For my project today, I tried something I had seen awhile back at SCS...it's called the "Date Night Kit". The tutorial had easy to follow instructions, along with photos; I did modify the tutorial somewhat to make my project. I don't know about the young people in your life, but my kids love gift cards and this card will hold a lot of them! Here are a couple more pictures of the inside:
The inside pocket was used for a CD in the tutorial, but I made it smaller so I could tuck a special note or that extra special gift card inside. The outside can be used for your greeting or a little note to the recipient.
