Changito's Bunny Hop
Good morning! It's time for another challenge from Ruby's Rainbow...this fortnight our theme is Easter. I couldn't resist breaking out Changito and friends.... They are so darn cute! The one in the middle looks like he has had a few too many Reeses peanut butter eggs! LOL Do any of you like them? Go ahead...indulge...I do!
The image is colored with pencils and I added a bit of subtle glitter to their bunny ears. I kept the layout really simple because I love this DP...didn't want to cover too much of it up! I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add a bit of texture to the vertical panel and finished it off with some Bella Baubles.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Gina K. Pure Luxury (cardbase), Flair Designs DP

TMS#139
(Today's 2nd post, please scroll down or click for Creative Card Crew post. Thank you.)
Good Tuesday Morning! Since it's Tuesday, that means I have another fun sketch to share with you from Tuesday Morning Sketches! This is a fun one...I like the unique shape and the fact that you can make it CAS or jazz it up a bit.
We recently went on a little trip to get some stuff for our attic addition; I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a little bit of craft shopping too. Do you think you could drive by your favorite craft store and not stop? Not me! I have always liked making baby cards and I couldn't pass up these pretty papers from the Doodlebug "Sugar and Spice" collection. I used 3 of the papers here, but there are plenty more in my stash! LOL I bought a stash of the boy themed papers too....
There's very little stamping on this card; just the onesie, which I paper pieced. I added a bit of pink glitter around the trim of the onesie just to give it a touch of sparkle...after all, most girls like a bit of sparkle! For embellishing, I added a touch of grosgrain ribbon and some Doodlebug buttons from my stash that matched perfectly. The finished card size is 7 1/2" x 4".

Creative Card Crew: Spring
Good morning! It's time for another fun challenge from the ladies at Creative Card Crew; our theme for this fortnight is "Spring" and our sponsor is StampFairy. I love Gerda's images...am always happy when I get to work with one!
My friend Denise was telling me about her bathroom remodel and it sounded so pretty, that I thought I would borrow her color palette for this card. Blue and yellow...isn't it fresh and pretty? Just like Spring!
Lenny is colored with pencils and his eyes are dotted with a black gel pen. I used Spellbinders dies to cut and layer the image, then added some acrylic gems and grosgrain ribbon for embellishments. I used the sketch from Create With Connie and Mary, not realizing it was supposed to be Stampin' Up! only. It really is a fun sketch...will probably use it again.

The bunny is colored with pencils and his eyes and belly button are dotted with a black gel pen. The little butterflys are colored, then coated with glitter so they are nice and sparkly! I used a couple of different CutUp dies; grass and cloud border. I added a few Bella Dots for embellishment.

Good morning! Did you think I meant the edible Peeps? LOL I see the Easter ones are in the stores...do any of you like them?
It has been awhile since I've played along with Bellariffic Friday, but I had a bit of free time today so I combined the sketch with some other challenges. I've been in a bit of a funk lately, but I like how this one turned out!
The Peeps are colored with pencils and their eyes are dotted with a black gel pen. I did some paper piecing with the cup and added a big dose of glitter to the heart (love that sparkle!). For embellishing, I kept it simple; a felt flower/leaves and some Swarovski flatbacks.

Better Late Than Never....
Hello there! We made a last minute trip out of town yesterday, so I didn't get this card posted. I think this little Changito image is so cute...I love his tooth!
Changito is colored with pencils; his eyes are dotted with a gel pen and the shamrock is covered with a subtle glitter. I used an embossing folder to add a bit of texture to the 2 green cardstock panels, and added some black brads and grosgrain ribbon for embellishing. I like how this one turned out!
Note: I am wondering if there might be something wrong with me.... It seems I am only motivated to work with Changito these days! I'm sure this phase will pass, so please bear with me. (Wink!)

Ruby's Rainbow: Lace
Good morning! It's time for another fun challenge at Ruby's Rainbow; the theme for this fortnight is lace. Real lace, lace diecuts, etc...you choose!
March was my month to pick an image for our monthly challenge on SCS. Since the wedding season is right around the corner, I went with this fun Changito image. I love the look of sheer delight on her face! The image is colored with pencils and accented with glitter. I distressed the edges of the DP, and added crochet lace, Prima flowers, and a ribbon tab.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #137
Good morning! (For Creative Card Crew post, see below.) It's time for another fun sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches; this week is our judged challenge and the added twist is "monochromatic". Our sponsor for the week is There She Goes stamps.
I was lucky enough to have a set from There She Goes; this one is called "Love Birds". The birds are colored in gray tones and I added a pop of pink to the hearts, plus a bit of glitter. The background squares and the image panel are sponged in gray to soften the edges. I added a bit of grosgrain ribbon to finish my card.

Creative Card Crew: Vintage
Good Tuesday morning; it's time for another fun challenge from the Creative Card Crew! Our theme for this fortnight is vintage and our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp!
I have to say that while I love vintage, it is very hard for me to pull off, so this was really a struggle.... I had several different ideas before I came across this DP from 7 Gypsies...I knew it would be perfect and went to work! There is no stamping involved with this card; mainly die cutting, scoring, and sponging. I used my Scor-Pal to score a few lines on my Kraft cardbase, then gently swiped an ink pad along the scoring before adding a bit of sponging. I like the aged look! I also added a bit of ink to the DP to "dirty it up" a bit. I added my felt die cuts, a button, a pearl, and a needle with floss to finish the card.
Paper: PTI Kraft and True Black, 7 Gypsies DP
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber
Embellies: PTI Button, K&Company Pearl
Extras: Scor-Pal, Spellbinders Nestabilities, PTI Dress Form Die, MFT Die-namics Rolled Flower Die, PTI Pure Poppy Felt, Black/Green Felt (my stash), DMC Floss
I would love to see your take on vintage...maybe you can give me a few ideas!
Thanks for stopping by!

TMS#136
Good Tuesday morning! Marie has designed our sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's a really versatile one; as soon as I saw it, I thought that you could do a large image in the bottom panel, or use a cute little image in the circle.... I decided I'd used a DeNami chick...love them!
The chick is colored with pencils; her eyes are dotted with a black gel pen and I added just a touch of glitter to the center of the flower. I added a bit of paper piercing for interest and popped the image panel up on dimensionals.

February SFYTT
Good morning! Wow, 4 posts in 3 days...I must be setting a record here! LOL I just barely squeaked in Jen del Muro's February Sketch For You To Try. I uploaded to SCS last night, so I made the cutoff....
It seems lately I keep reaching for Changito! I decided to go with a "little man" card today; I thought this Doodlebug DP would be perfect...I love the bright colors. The images are colored with pencils and accented with subtle glitter (couldn't help it...it's not too sparkly though). Changito's eyes are dotted with a black gel pen. I added a bit of Baker's Twine and some brads for embellishing.
Stamps: Stampendous
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Dark Chocolate, and Pure Poppy, Doodlebug DP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Embellies: PTI Pure Poppy Baker's Twine, Spare Parts Brads, Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter
