Good morning! It's Ruby's Rainbow's 5th birthday and Shaz has chosen our challenge for this fortnight...it's "Your Favorite Color" plus she is giving away some "Birthday Candy"!
This one is tough...I like so many colors! I would say my favorite, though, is pink...all shades! I have used one of Faith's adorable Birdbrains and colored her with pencils, then accented the image with glitter. Here's a close-up:
Image: From the Heart Stamps "Party Hat Birdbrain" Digital Set
Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P., PTI Raspberry Fizz, Doodlebug Patterned Paper
Embellies: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, Bunny Bytes Sequins
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinders Nestabilities
Please check out the rest of the DT's creations here, along with the challenge details. Also, some of the DT will be giving away a little "Birthday Candy" in honor of the occasion, so you will want to visit their blogs. I will also have something up for grabs! To be in the running please leave a comment about your favorite birthday, I would love to read it! Following my blog is optional, but I would love it if you did! (wink!) I will post a picture of my offering later today.
Please check out the From the Heart Stamps mid-week inspiration post here, you are sure to be inspired!

This is so adorable! That image is just too cute! I would have to say my favorite birthday would be when I turned 46. My youngest daughter had arranged a surprise party for me. She invited all my friends and even made me a cake with homemade icing. She tried so hard to keep it a secret but just before the party she tried to get rid of me so people could come over but I messed up all her plans and wouldn't leave the house. She was so disappointed that she couldn't make it a surprise but it was such a wonderful party. I have the sweetest kid! I also just became your latest follower. I would love it if you would visit me as well. Hugs, Robin

ReplyDeleteAdorable card Angela. I can't remember any specific birthday but I do remember my mom always fixing me angel food cake with strawberries. Still love that special treat.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win your sweet mystery blog candy! I am in USA, so I might not be eligible...but I will share my favorite BD memory. It is from my college days when my roommate and my BF (now hubby of nearly 35 years!)together devised a treasure hunt that took me all over our small college town to find clues...including in a cemetery, a bookstore, and a telephone booth! It culminated with cake and ice cream with all of our friends on campus. Great memory!!

Love birdbrains (probably my favorite digis of all time!) and your card is darling with all the sequins. My favorite birthday is probably my 8th. My parents surprised me with a new bike. It was purple with a silver glittery banana seat (remember those?!!) I LOVED that bike!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so fun and cute! That bird is adorable in pink and the polka dotted pants crack me up! My favorite birthday was my 16th, when my parents let me choose 5 close friends to take on a camping and canoe trip. It was 3 days of wonderful fun!
ReplyDeleteCool card Angela x

This adorable birthday bird is already too cute for words but when you colored him in pink...cuteness factor goes waaaaaay up! Love this whimsical card design so much. At my age, every birthday is a blessing and as long as it involves cake...I'm happy! I am following on Google Friend and can't wait to browse the rest of your blog.
