When life throws you scraps...
...make a quilt!
Good morning! We have another fun challenge for you from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight, Shaz has chosen our challenge. Can you guess what it is? Button It!
I didn't have a concrete plan and then saw this Mo Manning image...I thought it would be perfect! Her impish grin is just utter cuteness! The adorable "Fairy Needle" is colored with pencils and her wings are accented with glitter. The sentiment states: "when life throws you scraps make a quilt". The quilt-like DP was in my stash...how lucky was that? Things were finally coming together! Then I was threading the buttons and thought; "Hmmm, do quilts have buttons?" I guess mine would! LOL The layout is a simple one and the papers are slightly distressed.
Image/Sentiment: Mo Manning
Ink: Printer
Paper: SU! Blushing Bride and Poppy Parade, Lily Bee Designs DP
Embellies: PTI Assorted Buttons/DMC Floss, Doodlebug Glitter (white)
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos
Please check out the rest of the DT's button creations here; we invite you to play along!
I am also entering my card in the following challenges:
A Little Bit Crafty: A Little Bit Shabby
Crafty Cardmakers: Shabby Chic
Dream Valley Challenges: Buttons
Make My Monday: Texture
The Paper Girls: Sew it On
Try It On Tuesday: Textures (buttons, distressing)
