Christmas...Non-traditional Colors

Good morning!  We have another fun challenge for you at Ruby's Rainbow; this fortnight it was my turn to choose the challenge and I went with "Christmas...Non-traditional Colors".

I thought Changito would be perfect for my pink/red color combo...isn't he adorable tangled in the pink lights?  He's colored with pencils and accented with glitter.  I did a bit of distressing to my DP and added a sparkly Christmas ball and some silver brads to finish the card.

Image: Stampendous
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sakura Black Gel Pen
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream and Hibiscus Burst, SU! Poppy Parade, Echo Park DP, Doodlebug Sugar Coated CS
Embellies: Spare Parts Brads, SU! Silver Cord, Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, Doodlebug Glitter (pink)
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, PTI Ornament Die, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

Please check out the rest of the DT's cards to inspire you, then pull out some quirky colors and play along!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge Blog: Christmas Sparkle
Deconstructed Sketch: Sketch

In The Pink Challenge: It's Gonna Be a Pink Christmas
Incy Wincy Designs: Non-traditional Christmas Colors

  4. Awww, this is sweet! Love the pink sparkly lights. They remind me of the 70s, when one of my aunts had a silver metallic tree decorated with all pink lights and ornaments.
