CCC: Use Black Cardstock
Good (early) morning! It's time for another challenge from the ladies at the Creative Card Crew; this fortnight our challenge is to use black CS and our sponsor is Kenny K Downloads. My image is called "Jasmine"...thank you to Kenny K for providing such a fun image!
I have to admit I put off making this card...I was afraid to try and color the image...images like this scare me! She's so darn cute, I didn't want to mess up! Once I sat down to color, I actually enjoyed the coloring process...even though it took me a LONG time! LOL I am very slow.... My family teased me, "You're STILL making that card?!"
It's hard to see in the photo, but I did use a black cardbase; I embellished with white brads and a black flower made with MFT's "Loopy Bloom" Die-namics. I have had the die a long time and came across it while I was searching for just the "right" die. I really like the way the flower turned out and it was really easy...cut, fold, roll/glue! I will be making more of these for sure!

She turned out marvelous! Love how you coloured her :) And that big loopy flower is just begging me to touch it :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card for a teen or tween girl! Love the coloring and the black with the color pops is so fun and stylish.
ReplyDeleteI really don't know why you were wary of colouring this... you made a brilliant job of it. Thank you for the kind welcome too

Like I said to Cathy there is not much more one can say as fellow team member but with my Poodles head on I am pleased you have shared this over @ Poodles Parlour this week

Hi Angela, your colouring is fab and you have brought this gorgeous image to life beautifully.
