TMS#148


Good morning Tuesday Morning Sketches fans!  I'm back with another sketch; this week my teamie Kathleen came up with this cute sketch.  Our sponsor  for the week is Meljen's Designs.

As I was trying to decide what to make, I looked through the challenge list and found one for the colors pink/green.  Well, I just couldn't pass that up!  It brings me back to H.S. when "preppy" was all the rage...IZOD, button downs, khakis, Sperry topsiders.  Great fashions for sure!  Okay, no need to date myself further...on to the card....

The image is colored with pencils before layering with diecuts.  I've had this paper in my stash and was excited to use it...the color combo is so fresh and I love the petite prints; I added some rhinestones and called it good....

    So cute, love the preppy colors, great memories for me, too. That dsp is one of my all time favorites, so pretty and fresh looking. Totally adorable card.

    Angela, this card is SO pretty. I just love that sweet image and the way you colored it, but what really caught my eye was the unique layering you did behind the image with the pink poking out on the sides of the image panel as well as the sentiment panel. Fabulous!
