Good morning and Happy New Year! With the arrival of the holiday season, I noticed a lot of challenge blogs were taking a break, which is good as it gives us more time to enjoy our families and the festivities. That said, I am happy to be back in the swing of things and get a routine going again! Anyone else feel that way?
With the new year comes a new challenge from the Creative Card Crew...Snow Day! I really love this theme...to me it means snow, snowflakes, and glitter...I love it all! I choose a stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas that had been begging to get inked.... Isn't the bunny the cutest? The image is colored with pencils, cut out with a Spellbinder's die, and accented with glitter. I went for the subtle stuff...just wanted to add a hint of sparkle so I applied it to random snowballs, not all of them.... I also used a die from TCP, called Snowflake Lace Paper. It is really cool since you can use both the positive and negative shapes; if you are into snowflakes like I am, this die is a "must" for your collection! I embellished the card with some ribbon, a button, and some Swarovski flatback crystals; I like the contrast of the "homey" button with the "fancy" crystals.

Oh Angela, this is WONDERFUL!!!!! Love the color combo, fun papers and that die looks great (need to go check it out). Really fun snowy card, awesome coloring of the soft creamy colored bunny.
