TMS#126: Happy New Year

Good morning!  How was your Christmas?  I'm hoping you were able to spend some quality time with your loved ones!  I was lucky to be put "on call" for the day...even luckier when I didn't get called in!  I have to admit that I'm a bit sad to stop making Christmas cards...I really like making them!  I don't make a lot of New Year's cards, but I remembered this fun High Hopes stamp when I was planning my card for TMS this week....  Isn't Baby New Year the cutest?

The image is colored with pencils, then cut with Spellbinder's dies.  I used Bazill Bling for the card base...it has a lovely subtle shimmer...I decided to go monochromatic to keep the focus on the image.  I also flipped the sketch.  I'm just realizing that I didn't use any embellishments of this card!  I don't think it needs any....

    Fantastic card. Really love the monochromatic stripes. It give the card an elegant feel. Great coloring on that cute, cute, cute image.

    I agree with you, It is beautiful just the way it is, no embellishments needed. That is the cutest image. Great job!

    This is amazing Angela. The monochromatic looks works so beautifully with this image and sketch, gives great texture without overwhelming the image. Great New Years card!
