Good morning! I have a clean and simple card to share today. It was inspired by a card I saw at SCS. I have had this DP for quite some time and thought this would be a great way to showcase the pretty pattern.
The squares are 1 1/2 inches. I used the Martha Stewart hydrangea punch and layered 2 of the flowers before adding a button. To finish it off, I stamped a simple sentiment. I like how it turned out; I may make more and package them to give as gifts.
Sentiment: SU! Bella Blossoms
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Doodlebug DP
Embellie: PTI Button/DMC Floss
Okay, I have a question for you.... When you use a button, do you go for threaded or unthreaded? I prefer to thread them, but that's just my humble opinion. I always feel like there's "something missing" if I don't.
Thanks for stopping by today; I hope you have a good one!

what a great card! I always have trouble with simple cards but this totally rocks!
ReplyDeleteOooh, what a pretty card! I love this CAS design--so cool and refreshing with the papers and the flower.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous layout. Love the open white space!!!
ReplyDeleteAs for the buttons, I do both. I love the finished look when they are threaded, but I'll just admit that too often I'm too impatient and just want to get those babies on the card!
Very pretty my friend! The dp is really cute and I love the flower.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on my mood for the buttons. Sometimes I think they need a thread and sometimes I think they are good without a thread.
Beautiful CAS card..Very pretty. What a neat way to show case some of the pretty patterned papers.
