Good morning! I have more Changito goodness to share with you today! I like playing along with SCS Wednesday sketch challenges; it's so fun to see what the other players come up with. Sometimes I hardly even recognize the sketch when I look at the cards, but I try to stay true to the sketch, as it is more of a challenge that way. I look for an image to fit the sketch and go from there....
Changito is colored with pencils and I have added a bit of yellow glitter to the candle flame along with some clear glitter, from a pen, on the cupcake stand. To make the card unique and a bit more fun, I added a candle.
Image: Stampendous "Changito Baker"
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Sweet Blush, and Berry Sorbet, DP by American Crafts
Embellies: Berry Grosgrain Ribbon (my stash), Doodlebug Glitter, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen in "Clear Star", Cake Mate Candle
Extras: Spellbinders Nestabilities, Foam Tape
Sketches are my favorite type of challenge for sure; it gives me a starting point to build on. What is your favorite type of challenge?
Thanks for stopping by; I hope you have a great day!

ReplyDeleteso freakin cute!! love the image!
ReplyDeleteAngela, beautiful card. Loved the coloring and adding that candle is such a neat idea. I am also like that..I try to keep true to the sketch as much as possible. Sketch Challenges are my fav as well.
ReplyDeleteSketch challenges are my favorite, too. You rocked this one. This card is just perfect, the colors and coloring look amazing. That candle is a great added embellishment to a birthday card, I would never have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the sketch! I used to love sketch challenges, and I got to where I felt over-whelmed by them. I'm not sure why, really. But I love what you did with it! And I love these patterned papers together. The little cupcake all by itself is a great touch!
