'ABC' Challenges Guest Designer

Happy Friday!  Today I am the lucky guest designer for 'ABC' Challenges!  They have a wonderful sketch...I know I will be using it again.

Another baby card...I love making them!  I did a bit of paper piecing and accented the onesie with a touch of glitter.  I added a simple button for embellishment.

Poppy

Good morning!  I have a card to share for our new challenge at Creative Card Crew; our sponsor is Delicious Doodles and we would like to see you use punches or dies on your card.  The image I'm using is called Poppy, isn't she beautiful?  I love her ethereal look.  Thank you to Delicious Doodles!

Poppy is colored with pencils and mounted on Spellbinders die cuts.  I found the "perfect" paper in my stash and went with a simple sketch to let the image shine; embellishments include some die cut banners and brads.  The papers are also lightly distressed.

CAS Graduation

Good morning!  I've got a Clean and Simple card to share today; I was inspired by this card...I loved the layout.

My daughter had been invited to a lot of graduations and I needed something that I could mass produce.  I went with the school colors and used glitter CS...I thought the girls would like some sparkle!  The chick is colored with pencils and markers; the image panel is mounted with foam tape.  I just realized there are no embellies on this card!  Hmmm...that doesn't happen often....

The graduates also received a gourmet cupcake packaged in a cute window box...just a little something for them on their special day.

Herb is colored with pencils and accented with glitter.  His eyes (and the sun) are dotted with a gel pen.  I've cut out part of the popsicle and sun and popped them up...I've also applied a bit of glitter.  I used some cute Doodlebug paper from my stash, along with a button and twine for embellishing.

Dear friend

Good morning!  I'm have a card and some exciting news from Clearly Digi Stamps...not only is today a new release, but it also opening day of the new store!  Woo hoo...I can't wait to check it out!  I hope you will check it out too, along with the new creations the DT have designed to inspire you.

Today I am working with a new set called Coffee Cup Greetings.  The set includes line art, pre-colored images, sentiments, and DP.  I used a line art image, as I thought this cup would be so fun to paper piece....  It was too...no tricky detail cutting!  Love that!  I pulled out some papers that I thought coordinated perfectly and I also used some bling from my stash that I have been hoarding.  Sometimes I really have a hard time using the stuff that is "extra pretty"!  Does anyone else have that problem?  I simply had to make myself do it!  (I even used one of the gems on the sentiment...to "dot" the "i".)  The sentiment is tied onto the cup handle with twine.

For the next month, Clearly Digi Stamps will be giving away free digis on Thursdays and Sundays.  Click here to see the current offering!

Ink: Printer, SU! Black Marker

best dad

Good morning!  I'm here with a new challenge from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight Ang has chosen our challenge and it is "Squares".  So, please take a peek at what the DT has come up with for your inspiration and then play along!

As I was looking through my craft stash, I found this old stamp and thought I'd go with it since Father's Day is just around the corner.  I was excited to find this crossword puzzle DP too...it was on the flip side of a colorful pattern.  I just did a bit of layering and distressed the edges of my papers.  I was REALLY tempted to add a touch of glitter to the heart, but I held myself back!  LOL  I am already wondering what my Dad will have to say about the chartreuse....  Could be interesting....

Sentiment: Hampton Arts
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, Simply Chartreuse, and True Black, Bella BLVD. DP
Extras: Prisma Pencil in "Limepeel", The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I always love to work with the Bugaboo images!  I've chosen Stella today; the image is colored with pencils and accented with glitter.  (It's a bit hard to see the subtle glitter in the photo.)  I've embellished with some glitter CS and Bella Dots.

Hi there; I'm back again with a new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches!  My teamie, Jessi, created this cool sketch for us to work with.  This will be a judged challenge, so in addition to the sketch there is a twist...lots of flowers.  Guess who forgot the twist?  LOL

Graduation is coming up, so I thought I'd go with that theme.  Changito is colored with pencils; I added some small touches of pink to the tassel and diploma...just to make it a bit girly.  Pink Bella Baubles are the finishing touch to the card...I like the combo of chocolate, gray, and pink, it's different.

This one's for Kate....

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!  It's time again for another sketch from the ladies at Tuesday Morning Sketches; this week our sketch was created by Debbie and our sponsor is Floppy Latte.

I made a card for the nursing student, Kate, who has worked with me for the past month; she just graduated and had her pinning, she will still need to take her State Boards.  Let me tell you, she is a "Superchick" for sure!  Kate rocks!

The chick is colored with pencils and I added some glitter to her cape, because after all, what "Superchick" doesn't like a touch of glitter?!  I embellished simply with clouds and a beaded sentiment.

Good morning!  I'm here today with a fun challenge from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight I was the lucky one to choose our challenge...it will be "Furry Friends"!  I'll bet you are all surprised that I didn't choose Changito...he was definitely in the running!  LOL

I went with a springy Fluffles image and used one of my favorite DPs.  I really wish I would have bought more of this one...I am just down to a few odd scraps....  The image is colored with pencils and I've accented the snail with a bit of subtle glitter.  (The sketch I used is from Try Stamping on Tuesday; I didn't make the deadline, but used it anyway as it's a great sketch and the DT had wonderful samples.)  I did a bit of light distressing and added just a touch of bling.
